SAMMURAI Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Sammurai’s websites, apps, dashboards, AI-supported features, and related services.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Sammurai, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sammurai unless a different minimum age is required by the law applicable to you. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should only use Sammurai if you are legally permitted to do so and, where required, with permission from a parent or guardian.
Sammurai does not support an under-13 user path for the current MVP. A verified parental-consent mechanism would be required before any under-13 access is enabled.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate account information and notify Sammurai promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Using Sammurai
Sammurai gives you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable right to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may use Sammurai only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not violate the rights of Sammurai, other users, or third parties.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Sammurai to:
Break any applicable law or regulation.
Harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate, or exploit others.
Impersonate another person or entity.
Infringe intellectual property rights.
Distribute malware, viruses, harmful code, spam, or deceptive content.
Interfere with, disrupt, probe, scan, or attack Sammurai systems or security controls.
Scrape, exfiltrate, or misuse data without authorization.
Bypass access controls, moderation controls, safety features, or visibility rules.
6. User Content
You may create or submit content in Sammurai, including profile information, Drops, messages, responses, comments, uploads, reflections, images, GIFs, videos, and other material. You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Sammurai a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.
Content visibility is controlled by the feature used. Public Drops may be visible to a broader audience. Circle content is visible to permitted Circle members. Private content is intended for the author and Sammy, subject to internal moderation, security, legal, and retention obligations.
7. AI Features and Outputs
Sammurai includes AI-supported features, including Sammy chat, draft assistance, summaries, nudges, recommendations, Drop insights, Live Beat summaries, and moderation or safety support. AI outputs are assistive and may be incorrect, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them or acting on them.
Do not rely solely on AI outputs for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions.
8. Beta and Evolving Features
Sammurai may release experimental, beta, preview, or evolving features. These features may change, be limited, or be removed, and may not work as expected in every case.
9. Intellectual Property
Sammurai and its licensor own the Service, including software, design, interfaces, branding, AI orchestration, non-user content, and related intellectual property. These Terms do not give you ownership of Sammurai’s intellectual property.
10. Third-Party Services
Sammurai may integrate with or link to third-party services. Sammurai is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control, and your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
11. Suspension and Termination
Sammurai may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if it reasonably believes you have violated these Terms, created risk, harmed users, or exposed the Service to legal, security, or operational risk. You may stop using Sammurai at any time.
12. Account Deletion
If you delete your account, Sammurai will remove or anonymize personal information and user-linked content according to the Privacy Policy and applicable retention rules. Some data may persist temporarily in backups, logs, moderation records, legal records, or de-identified systems before final removal.
13. Disclaimers
Sammurai is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Sammurai does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every feature, output, recommendation, or integration will always be accurate, secure, or available.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sammurai and its affiliates, owners, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
15. Changes to These Terms
Sammurai may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, Sammurai will provide notice through the Service and may require acceptance of the updated version before continued use.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
Unless a different rule is required by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Sammurai’s contracting entity is registered. The final legal entity and dispute-resolution mechanism should be confirmed by Sammurai before external publication.
